Investment Criteria
In contrast to many venture funds and private equity groups that deploy a “top-down” investment strategy (i.e., focus on specific industries/sectors), Iron Gate Capital exercises “bottom-up” analysis (i.e., company specific) across multiple industries (including hard assets, such as real estate) and investment stages (early, middle, mezzanine, management buyouts, industry rollups, etc.) to seek the best private investment opportunities.
Consequently, our analysis is based on strong, disciplined “fundamental analysis” that requires companies to possess most or all of the following attributes:

• Solid intellectual property/assets
• Working (or beta) product or service
• Proven market demand (paying customers!)
• Scalable infrastructure (or detailed strategy/plan)
• Strong business model (that can be explained on the back of a napkin and not buried in a spreadsheet!)
• Experienced management with “domain” expertise
Iron Gate Capital targets investments between $750,000 and $5 million as the lead or as a co-investor. Iron Gate does not do "seed" investments.
